NTG6 Map Code

This Head Unit marks the beginning of the MBUX series for Mercedes-Benz. First released in 2018. At MBRetrofit Tools we support NTG6 for all regions and versions, so you can generate a map code for your car.

How to identify NTG6

One of the easiest ways to identify whether your car is NTG6 is to use our Car Lookup feature.

WARNING: This code requires manual generation from our team. As per our Terms of Service, you will get your code in 20 minutes to 3 hours. Depending on our operating hours of GMT+2. Once generated, it will show up on this page, you will also receive an email.

Region Compatibility

Important Notice for Korea, Southeast Asia, and Japan Vehicles

If your car has a region of Korea, Southeast Asia, or Japan (including imports from these Asian countries), and you want to migrate to a navigation from a different region (such as Africa/Middle East or Europe), you cannot use our service — the update will not work.

Before purchasing a map code, you must:

• Change your head unit's region first by finding a service online, or
• Replace the head unit entirely

Refunds will not be granted for region incompatibility issues if you proceed without addressing the region change first. We provide clear warnings in our code generation dialog and guide pages about this limitation.

Common Problems

Here are some common problems you might encounter when purchasing a map code for your NTG6 car.

USB Stick is not valid, even though it is correct

This is likely a region error and ONLY occurs with Korean and Japanese cars (even imported). If you are unsure of your car region, please use our Car Lookup feature to verify your car region.

In cases like this, you will need to consult a service to change the region of your head unit to your desired region. Contact us at contact@mbretrofit.it for more information.

Navigation button does not show up on the display

This is due to your car not having a map license entitlement.

In supported countries you can use the Mercedes Me App to add a map license entitlement to your car.

PLEASE make sure, that you have the navigation license before purchasing a map code. You will NOT recieve a refund if you purchase a map code without the navigation license.
