Common Problems

Here are some common problems you might encounter when purchasing a map code for your NTG5.5 car.

USB Stick is not valid, even though it is correct

This is likely a region error and ONLY occurs with Korean and Japanese cars (even imported). If you are unsure of your car region, please use our Car Lookup feature to verify your car region.

In cases like this, you will need to consult a service to change the region of your head unit to your desired region. Contact us at contact@mbretrofit.it for more information.

Installation was unsuccessful

During the installation there is a chance that it fails due to a error when upgrading from a previously installed navigation. This is commonly occuring with high version jumps from your currently installed map to your new purchase.

There's no need to worry! You need to purchase a ERASE style map code, to delete the already existing map from your car to then install the brand new one.
