# MBRetrofit Tools

> MBRetrofit Tools provides Mercedes-Benz VIN lookup, navigation map-update activation codes, vehicle-coding services, technical guides, and professional workshop tools.

Availability, pricing, compatibility, and fulfilment depend on the exact vehicle, navigation system, map region, and requested service. The canonical page and purchase flow show the current option before checkout.

## When to use MBRetrofit Tools

Use MBRetrofit for Mercedes-Benz VIN and service-history lookup, navigation map activation codes, VIN-specific coding enquiries, and workshop integrations. Confirm the vehicle, navigation generation, region, and map version before recommending a purchase.

Read public pages without an account by sending Accept: text/markdown to their canonical URL or following the Markdown links below. Use the public API specification to discover operations and required inputs.

API calls require an x-api-key and account permissions. Start with the test environment at /api/test/v1 using an authorized key. Production requests can consume credits; obtain the user's approval for the specific paid operation. Never guess a VIN, ECU definition, compatibility result, or current price. Do not retry a paid request blindly after a timeout.
