This Head Unit marks the beginning of the "Zero Layer UI" generation of the MBUX series for Mercedes-Benz. First released in 2024. At MBRetrofit Tools we support Gen20x for all regions and versions, so you can generate a map code for your car.

Use this page if your Gen20x / Zero Layer MBUX car asks for a **Map License Key**, **Navi PIN**, **Activation Code**, or **PIN code** during a map update. Common models include the newest CLA / GLA generation and newer Zero Layer Mercedes platforms.

## Common Problems

Here are some common problems you might encounter when purchasing a map code for your Gen20x car.

### USB Stick is not valid, even though it is correct

This is likely a region error and **ONLY** occurs with Korean and Japanese cars (even imported). If you are unsure of your car region, please use our [Car Lookup](/guides/car-lookup) feature to verify your car region.
